Can't figure out what Shirt Cut or Size to buy for yourself or a friend? Here's some info to help you out...
(Warning: If you're not familiar with the brand, please note that most of the American Apparel cuts run smaller than typical shirts. To confuse matters even more, they have gotten slightly larger/longer over the years, so please click on one of the "Sizing Charts" for more specific current measurements.

Shirts to small?
*For larger women sizes, try the unisex cut Ts. See info below. Only a couple of the "petite" cuts goes up to 2XL (and even that size runs small) so if the Petite Cut Tee XL is too small, try the Unisex Cut T Medium and up.
*For larger folks: Most of our unisex shirts are available in 2X and some go up to 3X and even 4X.

Petite Cut Tee (American Apparel brand) Sizing Chart
Made in the USA. 100% Fine Jersey cotton. This is our basic Tee for women and girls who like a more-fitted cut. It runs slimmer, shorter in length, and shorter in the sleeves than the "Unisex Cut T" shirts. Will shrink a little.

Unisex Cut T (American Apparel brand) Sizing Chart
Made in the USA. 100% Fine Jersey cotton. This is our basic unisex T-shirt. It runs slimmer, smaller, and drapes more than the "Heavyweight T". It is made of fine jersey cotton which is a very soft and lightweight material. If you like a heavier cotton and a cut that is more roomy, check out the designs in the "Heavyweight T" style. For women wearing this cut, try 1-2 sizes smaller. If the "Petite tee" XL is too small, the next size up is a "Unisex T" Medium. If the style is too boxy for you, try folding the sleeves or cutting out the collar and/or sleeves learn more. Will shrink a little.

Scoop Neck Cap Sleeve (American Apparel brand) Sizing Chart
Made in the USA. 100% Sheer Jersey cotton. Made of a super-soft lightweight cotton with a bit of stretch in it. This is a capsleeve top with slightly more sleeve than the "Cap Sleeve". It features a scoop neck on the front and a slightly scooped boat neck on the back. The neck and sleeves have a stylish "unfinished" hem. All the sheer jersey cotton shirts run slightly larger than the "Petite Tee" and stretch some with wear.
